DS rumor

There is a rumor that the group Dream Street is getting back together. Sad to say that it is just that--a rumor. Just when they were about to get huge, they broke up! And they're not getting back together. You'll hear about a new Dream Street soon, though. Chris Trousdale signed with Columbia Records to form a new version of the group (I will support them only because Chris will be part of it--but it still won't be the same). As for the rest of DS? Greg started his own rock band. Matt made a movie called Minesville. Frankie will star in the film, A Tale of Two Pizzas, and Jesse is acting in commercials and on Broadway!

Here is the late DS- From left to right:

Contest Winner

The winner of the paragraph contest is, one of my bestest friends, Savannah Sparks! Though she was the only one who participated---her paragraph is really, really good! Here it is---her article will be in maybe the next--possibly the one after next.

A true friend is someone who is always there for you no matter what. When you accomplish something and no one seems happy for you but you tell your friend he/she seems like the happiest person in the world for you and you know no one could be happier than your true friend was. A true friend is someone who never lets you down. Someone who is always there to tell you its ok to cry and that whenever you need someone to talk to you know you can always come to them. A friend who says I don't care if it is 3:00 in the morning and your dog died you can still call me if you need to. The one person you know you can tell everything to and know that they will not always have the answers but will ALWAYS understand. A true friend is someone who never leaves your heart and will never be banished from it  no matter what.

Chapter 3

Hanging Out

“Thanks for everything.” Stephanie said to Jack. “You’re welcome.” he smiled, “Hey you wanna...” he was cut off by a whistle blowing. “Talk to ya in French!” she said running over to her friends. “Ok!” he yelled, ‘Man the one class where we can’t under stand anything.” he laughed to himself. P.E. went by slow. But soon it was over and Stephanie and Tiffany headed to French.

French was fun but Stephanie didn’t really understand anything. Later just before the bell the teacher gave them some free time to talk. Jack came over to Stephanie. Tiffany smiled and walked the other way. “So what’s up?” Jack asked her. “Nothing. Just not understanding anything in this class.” she laughed. “Yeah.” he said then started saying something in French. “Huh?” Steph said laughing. “Ha ha! Well in French I think I said ‘me either’ but in English I wanna say, ‘do you wanna hang out after school?’.” he said smiling at her.

‘Oh my gosh!!’ Steph squealed to herself. “Sure, I’ll have to call my mom and tell her though.” she said to Jack. “Ok cool. Well meet me at the football field at three thirty.” he said as the bell rang. “Ok, see ya!” Stephanie said as Jack walked out of the door. Stephanie sat at her desk, smiling. “So what did he say?” Tiffany asked coming up to Stephanie. “He asked if I wanted to hang out after school!” she said with a big smile. “Oh my gosh that’s great! When Jack asks a girl something like that he really likes her; he hasn’t asked a girl something like that in like two years. He must really like you.” Tiff said. “Nah, he just wants to hang out.” Stephanie said as they were walking to find Amy and Mel. “Whatever. Ask you mom if you can come by Mel’s after you and him ‘hang’. We do our homework and study together almost everyday; and we alternate houses. Since we all hang anyway.” Tiff said as they saw the girls. “Ok that’s cool!” Steph said. They all talked a mile a minute when they met up; and Stephanie told them about Jack, and that she’s coming to study. Steph used Mel’s cell phone to call her mom; she said she was glad she made friends and that she could hang with Jack and that she’d pick her up in about forty-five minutes and take her to study at Mel’s. “We’ll see you later Steph!” the girls yelled, “Give us all the deets!” “Ok bye!” Stephanie said going out to the football field.

She walked out and headed toward the football field. She saw Jack and walked up to him. “Hi.” she said putting her hand on his shoulder. “Hey!” he said turning around. There was a long silence. “So...” Jack said. “Yeah.” Stephanie said. “We could walk around.” Jack said. “Ok.” Steph said as they started walking. Jack started a conversation. They talked and talked; about Stephanie, her family, and Jack, his family, his career, everything! “I saw that!! I can’t believe you actually got in that tub with those worms! Ewe!!” Stephanie laughed; they were talking about the Snick on air dare Jack did last season. “Ha ha! I know, I’ll never do that again!” he laughed as they stopped by the flagpole. “Gross.” Stephanie laughed again. They were laughing when snow started falling from the sky. “Cool! It’s snowing!” Stephanie said looking up. “Wow!! I love snow!” Jack said as they both spun around in it. “Me too!” Steph said as they both stopped; face to face. Jack was looking into Stephanie’s eyes as he pushed a loose piece of Steph’s hair behind her ear. She smiled and blushed a little, then looked up at him. He ran his finger down under her chin. He brought his head down and was about to kiss her when her mom yelled from her car window, “Steph, time to go.” It startled them and they both jumped and looked in that direction. Steph waved at her mom then looked back at Jack. “I have to go.” she told him. “Yeah ok. See you tomorrow.” he said as Steph started to leave, “Wait could I get your number?” Stephanie turned around and smiled, “Sure.” she said pulling a pen from her pocket. She wrote it on his hand then left.

Stephanie waved at Jack and then got in the car. Her mom drove her to Mel’s house. “I’ll be back to get you around five-thirty.” her mom said as they drove to Mel’s house. “Ok.” Steph replied. “I don’t know how you will get to these places tomorrow because I start work.” her mom said. “Oh...I’m sure I can get a ride with one of the girls. Or...Jack.” she said giving a sigh when she said Jack’s name. “Ha ha...Jack. Is he nice?” her mom asked pulling up to Mel’s house; the girls were on the porch looking at the snow. “Yeah! He’s great!!” she said. “Cool. I’ll see you later, love ya!” her mom said. “Love you!” she said, kissed her mom and got out. She ran up to the girls as her mom drove off.

“Ah!! I have to tell you guys!!!” Stephanie said as she got to the door. “Oh my god what?” they asked. “Ok. Let’s go in first. It’s freezing!!” she said. They went inside and went into Mel’s room. “Ok...now spill!!” they said. “Ok. We talked and talked, and he’s so sweet and then it started snowing, right. So we played in it and then we bumped into each other; he was looking at me and we almost kissed!!” she told them. “Ah!!!" they all screamed. “But then I had to go; but he asked for my number!” she said. “Cool!! That is great.” Mel said. “Hey guys we should study.” Amy laughed. “Yeah.” they all agreed. They studied for a while and then everyone went home.
